Hmm … not a good status report. Would be interesting to also list the available funds and grants offered after Sandy for municipalities … and check off which were applied for, which are in the process of being reviewed, which were rejected, and which were granted.

Suggest you send a copy of report to our Governor. Let’s see if he can shine a light on how the grants are going and how to get the town government on course! Jean Tierney

Does this surprise anyone? When you reelect the same people that were over their head before the storm and were so irresponsible to not even have flood insurance on any of the buildings in town.

How’s the saying go doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome?

It’s weird, Gonzo. Some of us are frustrated by the lack of change since Sandy yet others sing the praises of the council. It’s so odd that people see two different Highlands. We aren’t that big of a town. Some say Bay Ave looks like shit, others see no problem with it. Maybe it has to do with what you’re brought up with that makes things acceptable to some and not acceptable to others.
