Gas Leak in Highlands

snug harbor According to MC PD/FD & EMS  Construction workers hit a gas pipe at 9 Snug Harbor in Highlands, NJNG had secured the line by 1:30 pm.

Oh, and speaking of NJNG, they have this nifty Blanket Permit Program, whereas Municipalities who participate in it can now access the current proposed work schedule online. NJNG currently partners with several municipalities on this program which reduces the administrative work required for processing permits and provides more timely information.

Oh yeah, Highlands doesn’t participate. (Nevermind)

  1. Why does this not shock me? This town needs to join the rest of us in the 21st century. Hell, at this point, I’d settle for the 20th. So disappointing 😦

  2. Why would the town do something that’s posted on-line? From the way the council “utilizes” the web site they would lead you to believe that no one has internet access.

  3. I have to say that when they dug up streets around where I am they were pumping loads of water out of ground which leads me to believe our pipes are just bleeding water out which renders them useless. I know its a costly public works project but must be some infrastructure grant out there? We are just going to flood & sink and become the real Atlantis:)
