$50,000?? Is that coming out of the fund too? Ridiculous. This just keeps getting worse.

I don’t know her last name. Some one spoke to RHF and was told by them Sara (something inaudible) is a sw and would be working to oversee the funds, then Carla mentioned that someone would be starting next week.

It might just be an appointed position by the RHF to an affected area. On their website they have listed several legal/counseling programs to which funds were allocated, including 1.1M to NJ Legal Services for social workers, attorneys, and support staff. Highlands may have her now and then be reassigned to another town. Hopefully she is knowledgeable and helpful.

I think we need to find out Sara’s last name. If Carla had anything to do with it, and obviously she does, then you can bet its a relative or someone she knows from somewhere. it would be interesting to find out exactly how this person was hired. interesting that her last name was “inaudable”.

Carla didn’t give her name, someone that reads the blog was talking to the RHF and was told (by RHF) Sara (something) they couldn’t make out what the last name was.

Does anyone know if the PTAK towers thing is for the Robin Hood money? If not then what is for?

Its not RH, however, World Renew Disaster Response Services raise 1.8 million and is looking to distribute it to persons who haven’t gotten their needs met through other avenues. So if you’ve received $1000 from HFH for drywall, they aren’t going to reimburse you for the same thing, but if you also had to pay for $4000 for a furnace that wasn’t covered they would pay for that

The robin hood lady was at PTAK towers today. Did anyone know this? I didn’t. Apparently there was a line to see her.

Just curious, was it the social worker they assigned or someone else from Robin Hood? I knew the World Renew people were there, but hadn’t heard anything about RH being there.

i went to ptak towers yesterday and they told me about some lady just getting a whole bunch of grant money but that was for world renew to distribute. i went there around 100 yesterday. they never said anything about rh being there. i would have loved to talk to them. dont get me wrong, world renew can probably help people but i got the impression that because our house is mostly put back together it seems they cant help that much. they tried to get me to get a sba loan, i dont need another bill hanging over my head

My experience was similar however World Renew pointed to a dark haired lady with a line of people waiting to sit with her and suggested I apply for that as well. They weren’t sure who she was so I am assuming it was RH.

I met Sarah yesterday. She lost her home a few years ago in a fire, and she worked with 9/11 families to get them assistance, so she struck me as being very qualified for the job. And she was pleasant and patient, which is more than I can say for a lot of other people I’ve met. I think she’ll try hard to help us.

I had a similar experience with Sarah. It was one of the few pleasant ones in the last six months (though the lovely couple from Michigan that did the World Renew interview were a pleasure too).

I met with the couple who were awesome but ad no idea Sarah was there also. Maybe you can explain to me what the deal is cause I’m close to being done now with inside of home and it sounds like this program is too late for someone like me. Just wondering if I should bother. I still have outside of house to do?
