  1. I’m sorry…I’m not trying to be funny,but.. “See Post for qualifications?” Do you mean the VFW Post? Do they have a website? Or was there any earlier post about the event? Is there some link we could follow? Is there a name we could call with a number?

    • VFW Post, not post on web site..They don’t have a web site. (or at least one I could find). I don’t remember the guys name, he was at the last town hall meeting and I have met him before. I didn’t have a chance to call myself today

    • Okay…well I guess I’ll drive over to the VFW from Eatontown some day when I have nothing else to do and hope that when I get there “The Guy” will be sitting at the bar so I can ask him if I qualify.

    • Well that’s always the spirit of a good charity benefit! “We’re raising money, but we’re not really sure where the money is going.”

I hope everybody comes out and supports this worthy cause.

    • Oh okay….well that clears it up.

Of course, I still don’t know how somebody qualifies for this benefit (Which I think, was my original question).

    • I was told there is simple application, it can be picked up at the VFW or American Legion in Highlands or the American Legion in Leonardo. Drop it back off to the Post and the committee will determine eligibility. I am sure living in Highlands and being displaced by the storm gets you on the team, after that it is probably based on certain criteria on the application. I would start by taking a ride down there, if you don’t have means to get there, maybe call and ask to have them mail you one.

    • I think it’s great if handled correctly…Misha people are just generally frustrated and it’s expressed in different ways for different people.

    • We’re all frustrated from time to tine. Perhaps if more people helped or found ways to bring aid, donations etc to town frustration wld not be so high!

    • Ha… BB you are funny. To Misha everyone trying to rebuild their lives and by handled correctly so EVERYONE in town who is returning home is aware and has a fair share at donations which do doubt has not been happening. If your not home or living in town because you were hit hard you miss out. I think the people who are doing things out of the kindness of their hearts is admirable so don’t take personal but you need to understand that all the folks on here have said they are having issues regarding getting donations. If you don’t acknowledge and just put us all down it’s not helpful or comforting if you are one involved donations perhaps use this forum to feed us information. When you can’t get a straight answer or different answers from different people it only looks suspect. Just curious did you lose everything you own and in process of rebuilding your home?
