They introduced that in the last meeting and are supposedly voting on it april 17th. – IMO it would appear as a stall tactic to hope we forget about it, if they can drag it out long enough. I’ve heard rumblings that its not a unanimous vote. Although I don’t know who is voting any certain way.

it will be interesting to see who votes which way cause t whomever doesn’t we must strongly show solidarity that we will fight for their dismissal from representing us. Since it involves public should be videotaped to see who the money hungry finks are!

Does anyone who is going want to ask about them challenging the FEMA maps? Or hiring a real engineering firm to take a closer look at why Highlands floods?

Not that anyone might answer this, or even if it is the right venue, but it might be worth a shot.

Well this ought to be damn interesting. The council should have no problem with anyone video taping or live streaming anything that happens in an open forum. Except of course, i you have something to hide, or if you dont want the public to know about certain unpopular or controversial decisions. However, I dont know if any of this will make any difference as the council as of late has done most things ,and made most decisions behind closed doors. It will also be interesting to see who gets the sewer plant job. My guess is that it will be a former council member!

There seemed to be a little too much “that was covered in the (not open to the public) executive session” as an answer.

All on all, a good meeting… I need to make sure I’m there early and set up faster. I’ll also work on better sound, it’s hard in the auditoriums. Thanks for the kudos HB!

Carolyn, Do you know if you can save the recording of the meeting in addition to streaming live? The link to the Ustream page has A LOT of clicks today. I’m sure there are ppl that couldn’t make the meeting and would want to view it later? HB

Sadly no. I was using my wife’s MacBook and it has a different user interface than my tablet so after the stream ended it didn’t post to the site. I’ll figure out how to do that before the next meeting. By the way did you like the test video of our dining room table?

I know it was a good first attempt, but….if we want this video to go viral – we’re going to have to make it more entertaining. Maybe we could sneak a cute animal into the council meeting or get the city council to break into the electric slide!

Electric Slide? Really? How about a rendition of “Call me Maybe” dedicated to Gov Christie to see if we can get some help in expediting the house lifting grants… Can’t you see Dale with the phone hand gesture next to his head?

No…I’m lucky if I see Dale at all!

He’s a great guy when he’s not sick or out of town, but…I wouldn’t count on him to find the time to make a music video!
