Robin Hood Summer Camp Scholarhips for Highlands kids


Y-Cares which is committed to nurturing the development of kids, and with generous support from the Robin Hood Foundation, is offering summer camp scholarships
for children & families impacted by Hurricane Sandy.  Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 2 weeks of free camp at our Camp Arrowhead in Marlboro, Camp Zehnder in Wall Township and at camp programs in Red Bank, Matawan and Middletown.
ELIGIBILITY
The child or family must meet 1 or more of the following criteria:
  • The family experienced/is experiencing displacement from their home as a result of Hurricane Sandy. (Must show FEMA documentation,evidence of rental assistance, insurance documents, etc.)
  • One or both parents experiencing a job loss for greater than one month or more as a direct result of Hurricane Sandy. (Must show unemployment documentation, letter from employer, etc.)
  • Child experiencing displacement from their regular school as a result of Hurricane Sandy.  (School documentation needed.)
  • Family experiencing significant damage to their home (50% or higher – basically anybody that received an ICC letter) that resulted in financial hardship.
