Keys pitcher Trent Howard fund raising for Sandy Hook Little League


trent howardTrent Howard who is currently a pitcher at the Baltimore Orioles organization, spoke with Tom Caizza of Sandy Hook Little League in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, after they lost nearly everything from Hurricane Sandy. The things they lost include: Buildings at their site (Concession stand, meeting room etc.), equipment for 28 teams, and extensive field damage. After that he agreed to raise money not only for Sandy Hook Little League but for Somerville, NJ little league as well. He working closely with the liason of the governors Chistie’s office make this all possible.

They are trying to raise $10,000 total to give in help of these little leagues. They are also seeking those willing to send gloves, bats, or any other equipment that is in respectable shape.

      Well I know the woman at the Rumson Post Office is named “Caizza” and she likes to talk to everybody – especially when you’re in a hurry and they only have one window open.

      Trent is from Hammond IN, he went to Central Michigan University. He plays for the Frederick Keys (Minor league club of the Baltimore Orioles). He has no connection to New Jersey, He just wants to help.
