    • Oh come on now….this is HIGHLANDS! St. Patrick’s Day…Clam Fest…Hurricane or not….they ain’t missing an opportunity for the bars in town to make a few bucks! The show must go on!

    • I’m kind of split on this one. On the one hand, I think the money could be better spent on putting the town back together, on the other, I think it means more to certain people to have a sense of normalcy. And if having the parade means easing their already fragile psyche, then who am I to be a grinch about it.

    • So if by normalcy you mean an excuse to drink themselves stupid? It’s okay…I’m split on this one, too because I’m Irish and I think there’s more to being Irish than putting on a “Kiss My Irish T-shirt!”

  2. Hey I’m all for a reason to have a cold one just saying would be nice if they had the same determination and will to help people rebuild and actuslly come up with solutions as they are about St Paddy’s parade we would be in good shape!

    • Think of it this way, the pub crawl that usually ensues after and goes on all day and night will now only take an hour and people can’t get that drunk there are only 4 bars open. Also, you are not being fair about Highlands not coming up with solutions. Highlands did open the Solution Center.. (Bahahahahahahaha) Sorry I couldn’t help the sarcasm.
